Ansata Hejazi was one of the very few stallions that had a specific combination of traits that are particularly hard to find in Egyptian Arabian horses; truly large black eyes, fountain shaped, straight tail carriage, and exceptionally good motion both in front and from behind. Additionally, he was well balanced and had a nice temperament. Ansata Hejazi was one of three full siblings ( Ansata Nefertiti, Ansata Nefara, and Ansata Hejazi ) from one of the most consistent and powerful crosses in the Ansata herd, Ansata Halim Shah x Ansata Sudarra. Don Forbis once commented that Ansata Hejazi moved very much like his dam’s sire Ansata Abu Sudan. Additionally, when one studies images of Ansata Abu Sudan, his daughter Ansata Sudarra, and her son Ansata Hejazi, the resemblances are many. I regret that Ansata Hejazi was not used more extensively in the United States before he was sold and exported. He was a special horse, and one of my favorites. In 1999, Ansata Hejazi was exported to Mohammed Jassin Al Marzouk in Kuwait. A few of Ansata Hejazi’s most notable Ansata-bred get include:
